Salary: Grade D Point 7 £16,743.00 to Point 10 £17,768.00 (pro rata)
7.00am to 9.30am2.45pm to 6.15pm

The Governors of Lyndhurst Community Primary School are looking for a highly committed, enthusiastic, practical, reliable and honest person who has a good range of skills to join our successful school team. The role is varied and includes responsibility for the management, compliance, safety, cleanliness, maintenance and security of the school site, furnishings, and grounds. The successful candidate will be pro-active and take pride in the school. This role is suited for a person who enjoys DIY and is keen to work on their own initiative but also as part of a team.
We are seeking a professional individual who will:•
- Be well-equipped to carry out maintenance duties around school every day
- Eager and enthusiastic to carry out DIY tasks and new projects to meet the needs of the school
- Has good communication skills that will enable them to develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, pupils, parents, contractors and other visitors to the school site
- Is willing and able to work flexibly, including responding to out of hours call outs
- Has good literacy, numeracy and IT skills that will enable them to develop written plans, monitor budgets and prepare reports
- Is able to prioritise their own workload, responding effectively to conflicting priorities• Is able to work effectively as part of a team and independently, showing initiative and resilience
- Has a good understanding of Health and Safety legislation and record keeping.
Previous site management experience is essential and a background of working in schools would be desirable.
