TEACHING ASSISTANT (ADDITIONAL NEEDS SUPPORT) – LEVEL 2
Fixed Term until August 2022 – to start September 2021
33 hours’ per week term time only
(TMBC Grade D SCP 7 - 10 (£15,595-£16,550)
(FTE £20,092-£21,322)

The post will involve working alongside the teaching assistant team with small group work, supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis and assisting with curriculum support for those children who have additional learning needs or an EHCP. You must be child-centred in your approach and have the motivation and ability to work with children who may need extra support with their learning. There will also be a significant focus on working with pupils to support their wellbeing and social, emotional and mental health needs, working alongside our Nurture Team.

The post requires applicants to be able to demonstrate initiative, a desire to become involved in professional development to ensure high quality of provision, a willingness to be flexible and adapt calmly to ever changing situations. You should have a positive mind-set, the ability to communicate effectively with children, parents and staff, be flexible and able to work on your own initiative.

You must enjoy the challenge of working with children with additional needs so if you are passionate about providing learning and support, have the right attitude and share our values, then we would like to hear from you.
