Bikeability is ‘cycling proficiency’ for the 21st century, designed to give the next generation the skills and confidence to ride their bikes on today’s roads.

Active Tameside requires a national standard instructor to work on the Bikeability programme until Thursday 31st March 2022 (Term Time Only). The working hours will be twenty hours per week. Usually the working week would be Monday –Thursday 9:15am-11:45am & 12:45pm-3:15pm and when required occasional Fridays (when there are cancellations or bank holidays).

The main functions of the role is to work closely with the other instructors and the Service Development Manager to deliver high quality, practical training within the school premises and on a trafficked road environment.

National Standard Instructor qualification preferable however training can be provided for the right applicant.

Ideally candidates should have some experience of working with primary school aged children and be confident bike riders themselves, you must also possess good organisational and communication skills.
