We are a school for pupils with Moderate Learning Difficulties with an ASC base and wish to appoint positive, enthusiastic teachers with experience of teaching pupils with SEN or eager to learn and develop their skills in this area. Samuel Laycock School is on a rapid journey of change and improvement to achieve ‘good’ status, applicants must be keen to join us on this journey and share our “solution orientated” approach - seeing challenges as opportunities to improve.  

We are looking for:

A practitioner who puts pupils at the forefront and who can design and implement personalised learning programmes in the classroom
A creative practitioner with high quality classroom skills and a reflective approach 
The ability to be part of a team and lead a TA team in a positive, determined manner in the interests of pupils
A practitioner with experience of working with young people with ASC

Our school is fully committed to the self-evaluation process leading to continuing professional development. 

This post could suit an NQT or a Primary School practitioner (although we are a school for secondary aged pupils) looking for a new challenge, or someone with Special Needs experience in a Secondary School setting.
