Grade C (SCP 5 - 6) £19,312 - £19,698
Permanent role
Hours: 36 hours per week - Flexible to meet demands of service (may involve any 5 days out of 7 during busy periods)
Location: Dukinfield Crematorium, Dukinfield

A position has arisen within the Bereavement Services section of the Council. The role is primarily to provide a comprehensive range of clerical duties in supporting the Bereavement Service Team, which is a very sensitive area of work.  The efficient delivery of the needs and objectives required within the service are paramount. 

The post will be based at Dukinfield Crematorium. However, the position will consist of facilitating the smooth running of various administrative procedures within teams other than Bereavement such as the Pest Control and Dog Warden service, amongst others. 

Considerable experience of dealing with the public in emotional situations, excellent administration skills and having a flexible approach to work is required. You should be familiar with computer systems and be able to use various databases, email etc.  You must be able to plan and organise a complex and varied workload.  Applicants should possess excellent communication skills, be able to deal with sensitive, confidential issues, work under pressure with accuracy.  Attention to detail is critical.

Applicants should be able to work effectively on their own or part of a team, and have the ability to communicate to service users in a caring and sensitive manner.
