Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: JNC Scale Point 7 (from £4,824 for 2 sessions to £9,648 for 4 sessions) to JNC  Scale Point 10 (£5,268 for 2 sessions to £10,536 for 4 sessions)
 
Hours: Between 7.2 (minimum of 2 sessions) and 14.4 (maximum of 4 sessions)
 
Base Location: Various locations across the borough

The role

Tameside MBC has a well-established Youth Service. An opportunity has arisen for part time youth workers to assist with the delivery of new and exciting youth engagement sessions.
 
We are looking for people who are keen to be involved in the delivery of new and exciting projects, increasing young people’s engagement and offering opportunities to the young people of Tameside.  The youth worker will be expected to work in sessions that take place during the evening and possible weekends. 
 
About you

To carry out this role you will have knowledge, experience and a passion for providing activities for young people. You will have experience in building relationships with young people. You will have an excellent rapport and understanding of the needs of young people. You will have experience of working as part of a team and be willing to learn new skills and undertake training. You must have an ordered approach to work with excellent inter-personal skills and willingness to work flexibly.
