Contract Type: Permanent

 

Salary: Grade F SCP 17 £28,770 – SCP 22 £31,364 - plus pension, continuing training, tool allowance and enhanced rates where shift pattern applicable

Hours: 36 Hours per Week over 3 days plus additional contracted hours during November to March (winter call out)

 

Base Location: Tame Street Depot, Tame Street, Stalybridge, SK15 1ST

Based at Tame Street, Stalybridge, you will be an enthusiastic and talented HGV vehicle mechanic with the drive to keep our Transport Fleet on the move.

 

This is an opportunity to utilise, and further develop your existing skills carrying out routine maintenance, testing, diagnostic and repair work to our large fleet of HGV’s, light vehicles, plant and specialist equipment.

 

You should be organised, have good written and oral communication skills, be customer focused, hold a current driving licence (LGV Category C desirable) and trained to NVQ Level 3/City &Guilds (or equivalent) in a Heavy Vehicle Maintenance/Repair discipline. If you’re from a light vehicle or agricultural background, you are encouraged to apply. Training will be given to the right candidate.
